Celie (right) won 1st runner-up in Miss Intercollegiate Girl of the Philippines representing Greater Manila area. The
winner of this contest represented the Philippines to the Miss World beauty pageant.

She was not only beautiful, as you can see from this photo, she also has the brains to boot. She graduated with a degree in Industrial Chemistry at a time when it was a male-dominated course.
This photo was published in Graphic magazine when Celie won 1st runner-up in the Miss Intercollegiate Girl of the Philippines.
